Airline Cabin Crew Course
 
The syllabus is covered over 250 hours and is designed to provide to candidates who would like to enter the travel industry the necessary exposure to all the different aspects of the cabin crew life.
TIMINGS: The course is spread over 3 months, from Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 13:00

What You Will Learn?
Our method of learning is based on sharing of knowledge and experience, practice and continuous assessment.

Through the 19 modules covered during your stay with us, you shall acquire all the necessary skills and techniques and learn about a range of subjects:
  • The specificities, challenges and rewards of the Cabin Crew profession.
  • How the international and local aviation industry evolved.
  • Become aware of yourself and develop your potential, as well as having the proper attitude and work ethics.
  • A professional Image Consultant will groom you to a positive self image and develop your skills to maintain a professional image.
  • You will be brought to develop your customer service skills with the aim to add value to the services offered by airlines.
  • You will learn about major types of aircraft and basic aircraft parts, aircraft layout and functions.
  • It will be exciting to discover the major cities and places of interest on a world map as well as knowing the city and airport codes used in the aviation industry.
  • You will be coached by a specialist in Oral English to help you improve your fluency in English and learn the aviation jargon.

  • The primary responsibility of Cabin Crew is to ensure the safety of passengers. Learn how each crew member puts safety first at all times and deals with safety and emergency situations.
  • As a Cabin Crew you will be exposed to long irregular working hours and a new lifestyle. You will also meet people from all walks of life and stay in prestigious hotels. You will learn how to take care of yourself through healthy eating habits, exercise, developing habits for optimum personal safety and displaying proper decorum.
  • You will be called upon to attend to sick passengers on board and must be prepared to deal with medical emergencies. Our First Aid course will take you on a step by step journey to acquire basic competencies in that field.
  • You will be familiarised with dangerous goods classifications and the regulatory requirements and precautionary measures to be taken in their handling.
  • Investigations reveal that 70% of air accidents are a result of human error mainly due to lack of communication and poor teamwork. You will learn the importance of teamwork and how to function smoothly with the other members of the crew. We will help you identify the special needs of passengers and manage interactions so that they experience real caring.
  • Enjoy discovering airline gastronomy and have an overview of beverages served on board.
  • Security is now a major focus in the aviation world. Learn about the current threats the industry is facing and recommended practices.
  • We shall develop your awareness of hygiene, food safety and effective team working in the workplace as well as provide you with practical training in service skills.
  • The more you prepare yourself and practice for an interview, the more you will feel comfortable and confident. Increase your possibility of landing the job you want by improving up on your interview skills.
  • Airlines require their crew to be able to swim. You will be given the opportunity to benefit from valuable advice during our practical sessions.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to admission to the course, candidates are screened as per airlines’ general recruitment procedures.
The assessment enables us to know the strengths and improvement areas in relation to the future employability chances of the candidates.
Although the criteria may vary from airline to airline, the prerequisites generally include:
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Educated to HSC/GCSE/Baccalaureate standard/ SC (credits in English, French & Maths)
  • Pleasant personality, team player and proper grooming
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good physical condition, medically fit
  • Height 160 cm or above/ Minimum arm reach of 212 cms (on tip toes)
  • Good swimming ability
  • Any previous experience within the travel / tourism / customer service industries is an advantage.
Cost
MUR (Mauritian Rupees) 85,000.-, covering all costs, including manuals, uniforms, external visits, registration and IATA exam fees.
